Happy Holidays from the EMSCC!

The Ethel Milliken SCC has had a busy, fun + productive fall!

We started off with the big undertaking of voting on a new Eagles logo with the staff + students in October. HUGE shoutout + thanks to Greg at GOS Creative for designing three eagles for us to choose from! The school community voted and chose option #3!

After we had the decision on our new logo, we got right to work getting quotes and plans together for some new school spirit wear. We worked with Abadoo Promotion Group to get some options together that we had available for try-on and ordering starting November 15th at 3-way conferences. We had quite a few orders come in and worked hard to get those out to students before winter break last week. The clothing looks great and we are excited to see everyone sporting their Eagles gear in the New Year!

We also held our first movie night of the year on November 27th at the school. We played Toy Story 4 and had pizza, popcorn + water available for purchase. We had a number of families come to enjoy the show together and we hope to see even more of you out to our next movie night coming up in January! Keep connected to our website and Facebook page for more details coming after the break.

We had our monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of each month and had a good number of parents in attendance to each meeting. Your involvement is so important + crucial! We will continue meeting on Wednesday evenings once/month in 2020 and hope to see many of you out to those! We make important decisions to help the staff, students and families of Milliken nation thrive and connect and would love your input! Our next meeting is January 15, 2020 in the library at the school.

Thank you for all your support of the EMSCC so far this school year. We look forward to many more successful events + initiatives in the New Year!

Please note that we will not be available via email over the winter break - but if you do happen to contact us, we will get back to you on or after January 6th.

Happy Holidays from your EMSCC! .
