Outdoor Learning Space
Our mission at EMSCC is to connect community with student success. We believe student learning and social development is enhanced with access to an outdoor space that supports academics, health, social skills, and environmental appreciation. We want to create a space that is inspiring, innovative, and inviting to ALL the families in our neighbourhood.
Build an outdoor learning space with tables, bench seating, shade, and a flat surface for enhanced mobility for the benefit of multiple community members:
A safe and welcoming space for students of all ages to access fresh air and sunshine while learning
A space that supports social development for division III students (grades 6, 7, and 8), and ongoing social interaction for neighbouring seniors
An inviting place for families in the surrounding area who would like to utilize the city park and or playground outside of school operating hours, who may not have access to their own yards due to apartment-style living
Build an outdoor learning space suitable for all ages and abilities
